I like to watch television mysteries on A&E a cable network channel, there is a variety of shows I like to watch that come on throughout the day so I never have a dull moment, it interests me the lengths a person will go to, to get revenge, and what they give up there life for. And it opens your eyes to the type of people that could be living right next door to you, and you would never guess in a million years that they were the serial killer the law has been looking for, for years and years. The shows also put me on alert and let me know that not everyone is to be trusted.

General Tso’s

Had General Tso’s chicken dinner from Aldi, and it is far better than any chinese restaurant General Tso chicken dinner that I have ever eaten. It was the frozen  kind that takes about thirty minutes to prepare using the oven. The item only cost $3.99 but the portion is large and the pieces of chicken taste fresh, it is accompanied by rice, broccoli, carrots and sauce all in one pan. I purchase two boxes of these monthly and my son just loves the taste of it as well. I love when I am able to find great food at bargain prices.

Negative thoughts

I have negative thoughts about the current recession, there is a lack of jobs in the United States at this time, which causes most people to feel down and out, and most times hopeless. I however am one of the fortunate ones who actually have a job, and although it doesn’t pay much it pays the bills. I think sometimes I take my job for granted, and will start to work on being more loyal and committing myself to excellence. I hope the recession is over soon, I know the world would become a much better place to live in.

Going Well

My day is going good so far, I have signed up for extra time at my job, and have been feeling very relaxed in hopes that it will turn out to be an amazing day. I have to work this evening as well but I don’t mind because I really need the money, my son’s birthday is approaching and I would really like to buy him something nice and take him out to have some fun with family and friends. His birthday is at the end of March and he loves any activities dealing with the great outdoors.

My ambition in life

Posted on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 at 7:29 pm

My ambition in life is to serve the disabled children and grown ups with disabilities.  I would like to join hands with those who are already in the service of these people.  Personally I feel it takes lots of courage and dedication to start up a service such as this and so I want to help those who had already had these and ventured into this service.  It is a noble deed.  I always used to wonder why God has given such difficulties to those children, but then we can never understand God’s ways.  He is our creator and so he will have a purpose in whatever he does.  Our duty is to make those people live a comfortable life.

My Native Town

Tamil Nadu Express

My native town is Erode in Tamilnadu.  But my birthplace is a cool place 100 kilometers away from where I live now.  I was born and also brought up there.  Ooty is also famous for its British settlements.  Even the house we lived in was constructed by Englishmen.  But the place where I live now is opposite in climatic conditions to my birthplace OOTY.  So only with great compromise I am living here.  So I like only the winters here which match up a little bit with the climatic conditions of Ooty.  Other than the climate, my town is also good to live in.  It is a busy town always bustling with activity. You never get bored here.

The dress I wore today

I wore my favorite dress today.  In India our traditional dresses are either saree or  Churidhar Kurtha.  Somehow I felt like wearing saree today and I wore a dark blue saree which is designed with intricate stone works and other decorative materials such as Jardhosi.  The blouse is a matching one with same designer works.  Designer sarees are the trend in India now.  They range from cheap to very costly ones.  Mine is an ordinary one which I selected to wear to workplace.  So it wasn’t very costly but also not a cheap one.  It usually gives me an elegant look when I wear it.  One of my students complimented on it, saying that I looked great in it.

Anything in the world

If I could have anything in the world, I would like my son to be cured of his autism disorder.  When I first came to understand that he is different, we took him to an autism specialist and he said my son is affected by autistic spectral disorder.  He could not communicate to others, he would not socialize, he would not speak and there will be behavioral problems, our whole world shattered into pieces in front of our eyes.  We could not take it at all.  But he was the apple of our eyes and so we swore to make his life comfortable.  He is improving day by day thanks to the different therapies such as yoga, speech, occupational, behavioral etc.  But I am praying god that he should speak.

The thing which means a lot to me

The thing that would mean a lot to me would be my son’s Pikachoo toy.  I did not have an issue even after ten years of marriage.  We underwent some medical procedures which only worsened my health and so we decided to go for adoption.  We got our precious baby when he was 3 months old. We thought he is the soul of our lives, but shocked to the core when he wouldn’t walk even when he was fifteen months old.  We did not know that he was affected by autism.  But when he walked after fifteen months I could never describe my joy in words.  I had tied this toy to the window, and when he pulled it, it came along with his hands.  He just walked.  And thought that he could walk only with the toy and whenever he wanted to walk he would pick it up in his hands.

My favorite childhood memories would be my visit to the libraries with my father and later with my friends in the neighborhood.  We lived in a quarters where there were many children of my age group.  We enjoyed doing different activities together, such as gardening, doing chores at home and also running errands for parents as well as neighbors.  One of the activities we enjoyed most is going to the library which was on a hill near our residence.  We had to walk along a lonely road to reach the library and we had different experiences each day we went.  It will be one of my favorite childhood memories forever.
